"Back to Nature via the Bible" is an ecological biblical village located atop Mt. Camun, within the spectacular scenery of the Galilee. It is a special place where you can go back in time to the days of our forefathers, to the days of the bible.
The biblical village is a unique tourist site which incorporates hospitality with guest participation in activities. Groups of youths and adults visit the village, as do families who wish to combine their family gatherings with an experience from biblical times. Bar Mitzvahs, birthdays and more...
All of one's senses are put to use during the fascinating visit to the biblical village. The scents of medicinal plants and herbs, the tastes of bread and hyssop baked in the clay oven and the beautiful vistas of the Galilee.
The village tour includes visits to Abraham's tent, an orchard, agricultural terraces and a wheat field.
In autumn we produce oil in the ancient olive press from the freshly harvested olives.
In spring we thresh and grind newly harvested grain in the granary grindstone.
In summer we press and stomp vine fresh grapes.
We conclude with a visit to our inn. Among the biblical stories we also include tales of the small community of Michmanim, of our Bedouin and Arab neighbors and of current events in the Galilee.
The inn was built from the hard limestone of the mountain and restored in the spirit of ancient times. Through its curved windows one may see the Galilee landscape and the Haifa Bay. The floor is padded with carpets and mats, pillows, mattresses and comfortable chairs.
The special menu is based on the bible as well, with baked goods prepared in ancient coal burning clay ovens and cooked foods prepared in metal cauldrons on an open fire.
Groups visiting the village and the area may stay over night at the inn.
A visit to the town's small beehive which produces high quality honey from the flowers of the Galilee may be arranged as part of the tour as well.
