About the settlement / site:
A community village established in 1980 and settled in 1981 by the Sachlav nucleus of families. Zurit is located on Mt. Gilon, 10 minutes drive from Karmiel, with a spectacular view of the Beit Hakerem valley in the north and the Hilazon stream and the Mediterranean in the south.
The source of the name Zurit is from a wildflower that grows in the area.
In Zurit there are currently 175 families, with 450 children.
The number of families planned in the final stage (together with the Gilon community village) is 700.
